Finally able to get a good day to reschedule, SC1924 was able to finally play Romanian Galaxy and their Superstar, Costea Decu. only 11 players were to be had for the SportClub side, so they had their work cut out for them against this strong team. The Romanian's got off to a quick 2-0 lead by some good footwork from Decu, and getting into space quicker than the Sport club side. A good through ball from Kevin Hofinger kept Rolando Vata onside and he got the 1-2 goal. The Romanians extended their lead again to two, but another through pass, this time from Vata to Mike Fabbri got the Clubbers within one again, 3-2. Decu subbed in and put the 4-2 goal in before the halftime break. The highlight of the second half was Joe Wargo defending Decu well, keeping him off the score sheet, but they couldn't keep all of the Romanians off as they were able to extend their lead to 5-2 and that is how it ended. Roberto Pelini played keeper in place of Don Bleuenstein, and was able to stop many shots, but the defense couldn't clear a few rebounds otherwise the score may have been much closer. "I was surprised how well we did play against them with only 11" team manager Chris Stockman said. "Decu is a hard player to defend, so if you focus on him then you leave the ret of their team open. If we would have had any subs today, I feel like we could have made it more interesting for them."
