 SC 24 Panthers (1) vs  Vipers(1)

The Undefeated Vipers were on tap today. The Panthers would definitely have their hands full with this speedy well trained team. The Panthers would start out with Sam and Joey at forward. Nick and Noah at midfield and Alley, Nadine and Lianne on defense. The Vipers would make many attacks but the Panther s would play great and step up their own game to match the Vipers. Danielle Ellis would play super in goal. One example would be a penalty shot that she would deflect into the air then catch. The crowd cheered wildly after that save. The Vipers would get a break when the ball would roll through the goal mouth and Danielle wouldn’t be able to get to the player who would slide the shot in. 1-0 Vipers.

The second half would get under way with Ben Husic. Mckenna, Delaney, Maggs, and Abby played tough at the midfield spots returning many balls brought forward by the Vipers. Danielle Erickson also played well trying to bust through the Vipers defense but she would be turned away time after time. Trevor Cole was on fire with many interceptions and he would run down many Vipers and take the ball away to clear it up field. Ben would finally get his break when he took a long high shot that went well over the goalies head and into the net to tie the game 1-1. Danielle Ellis would make a few more great saves to keep the tie. “The entire team stepped up today against a really good team, I’m proud of the Panthers today” coach Dave said.
