SC Panther would start the season on a wet, cool, soggy field. leading scoring from last year Ben Husic would continue his scoring within the first five minute with a pass from Nicholas Fleischer. Lianne Badawi, Trevor Cole and Abby Cooper started off on defense and turned away many attacks from the USC team. Miranda Vanarman and Noah Harrison played well and had nice pass's to keep the ball moving around. USC would put a well placed ball past goalie Danielle Erickson to tie the game 1-1. Ben Husic would respond with another run and another goal to put the SC Panthers up 2-1. New comers Alley Trambal and Danielle Ellis showed allot of hustle and grit. Sam Debono, Nadine Badawi and Simone Howard would battle the middle field but couldn't stop the USC team from scoring another goal to tie it at 2-2. The second half felt as though the game would go the SC Panthers way as Ben Husic would add another goal to give the SC Panthers the lead again 3-2. Panthers would slip and slide in their end but USC would slide between the defense to tie the game again 3-3. USC would take the lead later in the second half off a miscued play. Mckenna Podolak would run hard with Delaney Anderson but they also could get a break into the USC goal. The Panthers would mount a final push but couldn't get the equalizer. It was a tough loss to start the season especially when we had the lead most of the game. Missing today were Joey Imielowski and New player Rodney Delmundo.
