Austrian Sport Club 1924 A (4)  vs  FC Untited (1)

Austrian Sport Club A looked to extend their good play against the third place team today. The day started off as expected, as Roberto Pelini placed a well struck shot from the right wing over the keepers head and into the far side of the net, 1-0.  The Austrian's held the midfield extremely well the remainder of the first half not allowing a shot on goal.  FC United tried to press to start the second half, but got nowhere through the Sport Club defense. 7 minutes into the second half, Pelini and MIke Vigh worked a give and go which resulted in a Vigh shot and a 2-0 lead.  Basil Badawi found himself in the right spot after a giveaway by the United midfield, extending the lead to 3-0.  Another counter attack resulted with Dave Fleischer getting the shot, which the keeper deflected away, but a good follow-up by Curtis Reid placed the 4-0 goal away.  SportClub just wouldn't allow FC United any slack, even scoring an own goal by Jim Schmidt, trying to keep the forward from scoring and deflecting the keeper block into the goal. Game ends 4-1. "Our keeper, Don Bleuenstein, said this was the best game he has seen us play all season," team manager Chris Stockman said.
