Austrian Sport Club wanted to make another jump in the standings, but the Ford Pumas stood in their way. The last time they met they played to a 0-0 draw at Waldfest. ASC1924 held the play for the majority of the first half, and finally were able to crack the Ford defense. Lars Ludwig placed a ball to the middle which Bryan Crowe trapped and backheeled to Mike Fabbri, who was able to get past the defense and squeak a shot underneath the keeper for the 1-0 lead. The final 10 minutes of the half were shaky, but they held their ground and kept it 1-0 at half. Without too many chances for Ford, the Austrian defense held and kept the final 1-0 for their keeper. "We had a few missed chances in the second half, ones by Lisowsky and Crowe in the 6 yard box over the net, but otherwise we played solid and I am happy with how the team played defensively," Team Manager Chris Stockman said.
