Today's game against the FSC Mustangs started as good as any game in recent memory for the first game of the season. SC1924 was attacking well, and containing the ball and the Mustangs attacks very well. Unfortunately, a corner kick resulted in a score for the Mustangs, and the day turned for the worse. 3 mintutes later, SC1924 was called for a foul in the box that had no explanation on the field from the referee, and that quickly it was 2-0. The FSC team continued their assault, and a forward broke in on the goalkeeper Bleuenstein, and he did all he could, but grabbed the forwards foot and teh second PK of the day was awarded, 3-0 at the half. We regrouped as a team, but not without incidents in the second half. Another missed corner kick clear turned into a score for the Mustangs, and it seemed the Sport Club side would not be leaving happy today. Dave Fleischeer put himself on the score sheet with a shot that eluded the keeper and bounced in off the bottom of the crossbar. 4-1 was the final. "We played well during the first half until the PK incidents, which is unforutnate because our game imploded then" said team manager Chris Stockman.
