The new Austrian
Sport Club 1924 (40+ Div 3) team began it’s season on Wednesday,
April 15th with their Cup Game, played at Ultimate Soccer
in Pontiac. The team, managed by Randy Bart, is a composite of
players from ASC 1924, Romeo Raider’s, and others. ASC was the
first to score when Jesse Trevino hit the net after a Sport Club
Surge. The goal went unanswered in the first period. Wham rallied
in the second period by scoring three goals. Helmut Thielemann,
who filled in as goal keeper, had an outstanding game keeping
many shots out of the net. Despite the fact that this was the
first time playing together, and a shortage of substitutes, the
team looked strong with good passing and ball movement.
